Georgetown's main shopping zone
Centered at M Street and Wisconsin Avenue NW, D.C.’s oldest neighborhood (1751) still buzzes with activity. Locals and visitors come for the shopping, dining, historic homes, music clubs and riverside recreation. Famous folks from Francis Scott Key to John F. Kennedy and Julia Child have lived in the genteel zone, which is great for strolling. There's no Metrorail stop, but the Circulator bus loops through here.
