About

Originally from Boston (and still a Red Sox fan), Meryl Pearlstein has lived in New York City for longer than she can remember. A passionate foodie and travel junkie, Meryl writes about her experiences exploring the world and, in particular, New York City. On any given night, you’ll find her discovering a new bistro in Queens, an art exhibit in the Bronx, a dance troupe in Brooklyn, an outdoor concert in Staten Island, or a play that just opened on Broadway. She loves sharing her finds through her writing and broadcast interviews. She is the author of Fodor’s Family: New York City with Kids and was a contributor to the Fodor’s Guide to New York City for many years. Additionally, Meryl has written for many publications including GQ, the Boston Herald, Crain’s 5boros, New York Magazine, Gayot, Northshore Magazine and New York Lifestyles Magazine.  She is on the Executive Board of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), a member of NATJA (National Association of Travel Journalists), and on the Host Committee for Broadway Cares/Broadway Backwards.
