Fruits, Flowers & Farmers

Twin Cities chefs love to create dishes using fresh, local ingredients. The more than 500 organic farms in the state and several farmers markets around the metro area make this goal easier. The Saint Paul Farmers Market boasts 17 different locations and guarantees 100 percent locally grown products. The Minneapolis Farmers Market sets up shop in two different locations: seven days a week at Lyndale and Glenwood avenues, and every Thursday along Nicollet Mall. The Mill City Farmers Market sits along the Mississippi River between the Guthrie Theater and Mill City Museum. Open Saturdays, the market offers fruits, veggies, meats and cheeses.
