Catalina State Park

More than 1,500 years ago, a small Hohokam village was established on a ridge above Sutherland Wash, now within this 5,500-acre high desert park north of Tucson. Ideal for camping, picnicking and bird-watching, there’s also an equestrian center that provides resources for trail riders, and miles of hiking trails that wind through the park and the adjoining Coronado National Forest.
