Henry B. Plant Museum

Plant built the 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel, which, with its Moorish architecture, lavish furnishings and rich gardens, attracted the likes of Teddy Roosevelt, Babe Ruth and Sarah Bernhardt. Since 1933, the National Historic Landmark has been home to both the Plant Museum and The University of Tampa. The museum offers changing exhibitions, as well as re-creations of what the Grand Hall, the writing and reading room, The Garden Room and The Parlor Suite were like in the hotel's heyday. Admission $10 adults; $7 seniors and students; $5 children ages 4 to 12.
