Sydney Contemporary 2019
Part art market, part large-scale exhibition, Sydney Contemporary is Australia’s largest annual art fair, coelescing work from some of the most significant commercial galleries around the world into four days and one sprawling venue. The fair will this year take over a number of spaces within the cultured industrial halls of Carriageworks. As well as presenting the opportunity to view fresh work from some of Australia’s most exciting contemporary galleries—such as Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery (Sydney) and Sullivan+Strumpf (Sydney and Singapore)—the 2019 program includes galleries as far-flung as Auckland, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin and London. Presentation is at the heart of Sydney Contemporary, and the way that works are laid out across the space is always an experience not to be seen elsewhere.
