Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson: Step Into Paradise
From the australian bush and wildflower emblems to opals and the Great Barrier Reef, the references deployed by long-collaborating fashion designers Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson are quintessentially Australian. The garments that have resulted from these touchpoints—and from this enduring partnership—have had such impact on Australian fashion culture that both designers have been honoured as Officers in the Order of Australia for their contributions. The “Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson: Step Into Paradise” exhibition, opening this month at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum, is a celebration of more than four decades of creative collaboration, featuring more than 150 garments, textiles, photographs and artworks—many of them previously unseen—that trace the history of a legacy.
