Stay a Night in the House Featured in 'A Christmas Story'

The Parker house and Bumpus House are available for rent and might make a perfect Christmas retreat.

If you love classic Christmas movies, you'll want to consider a trip to Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood. The two main houses from the famous movie, "A Christmas Story," are available for rent. You can choose from either the Parker house or the Bumpus House, turkey-stealing hound dogs not included.

A Christmas Story House can accommodate six guests and includes free Wi-Fi, a full kitchen and cable. Each night will cost you about $400 and comes with access to the movie museum.

The Bumpus House is split between the downstairs and upstairs but both are available to rent either separately or together. They include the same amenities as the Christmas Story house but come with minor differences.  The downstairs Hound Dog Haven Suite is available for $195 a night and sleeps four, while the Stolen Turkey Suite upstairs sleeps six for $245 a night.

The museum and gift shop across the street is where you can geek out at all of the film memorabilia, props and costumes from the movie. Tours start in the gift shop and run every hour at 10:15 am for $12 general admission price. Take a bit of nostalgia home by purchasing either the iconic leg lamp or bunny costume available in the gift shop.
