Magic Chef Mansion (©D. Lancaster)
Built in 1908, the mansion gets its name from the founder of the Quick Meal & Magic Chef Stove Company, who commissioned the house from architect Ernst Janssen. The home, open for tours, represents an excellent example of turn-of-the-century declamatory architecture, built in the style of a French chateau and sporting a bowling alley. Open for tours Apr-Nov first Sa afternoon of the month. $15 adults, $8 children 6-12, free kids under 6. Private group tours available.
