This Spanish Colonial Renaissance-style structure was built in 1797 and reconstructed in the late 1880s. The roots can be traced back to the first mass held in 1565 when Pedro Menendez first landed in St. Augustine. The cathedral is open until 5 pm daily; guided tours are given M-Th 11 am and 3 pm, first Su/month 1 pm. Space limited to 20 people.
