The thrill of the chase has met the calm of the sea. Norwegian Cruise Lines' newest vessel—the Norwegian Joy, taking its maiden voyage June 27, 2017—features a two-level racetrack by a name synonymous with luxury performance vehicles: Ferrari

Accommodating the first-of-its-kind racetrack meant building one of the largest ships in NCL's fleet: Joy weighs in at 168,000 gross tons, is 1,094 feet long and 136 feet wide, large enough to support 10 drivers racing go karts at speeds of up to 40 MPH. The luxurious liner holds approximately 3,900 passengers and its home ports are Shanghai and Tianjin.

Go karts on the Norwegian Joy.

The karts aren't the only thing you can race on this ship, however. This playground also offers up open-air water slides and a laser-tag course. Inside there's the Galaxy Pavilion, a gamer's paradise with larger-than-life video walls, simulators and virtual reality rides.
