Seattle offers a wide span of creative, fun events to get in the holiday mood this November. Indulge in gourmet chocolate, enjoy smooth jazz, catch a hip-hop rendition of "The Nutcracker" or transport yourself to Hawai'i and enjoy island sounds at the Seattle Slack Key Festival.

Through Nov. 6  Earshot Jazz Festival

It's your last chance to tap your feet and nod your head to the soothing sounds of jazz, as the Earshot Jazz Festival concludes with Chick Corea collaborating with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.

Nov. 1  The Whiskey Extravaganza

Whiskey-lovers and fine spirit drinkers will enjoy this event, as The Whiskey Extravaganza hosts tastings and master classes held by industry experts, to go along with culinary pairings. Ticket-holders will find a wide range of drinks to try out, including prestigious single malts, premium Scotch and various types of unique whiskeys. A portion of guest ticket sales will benefit a hospitality-based nonprofit. Located at The Rainier Club.

Nov. 2  Día de los Muertos—Day of the Dead Festival

Celebrate a remembrance of lost loved ones with face painting, live performance dancing and more at Phinney Center.

Nov. 8-9  ATK Seattle Eats Festival

The second-annual cooking, food and wine festival allows attendees to mingle with television’s “America’s Test Kitchen” cast and Seattle’s top chefs—as well as enjoy the amazing food.

Nov. 9-10  Northwest Chocolate Festival

The 10th-annual Northwest Chocolate Festival provides educational workshops, decadent chocolates from global exhibitors and a variety of indulgent chocolate tastes. Chocoholics can partake in a number of classes, workshops and seminars—talk chocolate with experts and cacao farmers and watch chocolate demos from world-renowned chefs. 

Nov. 10  Seattle Slack Key Festival

Transport yourself across the Pacific Ocean to Hawai’i at this island-themed festival featuring Kanikapila-style Hawaiian-themed music. Highline Performing Arts Center.

Nov. 15  Jim Jefferies The Night Talker Tour

The comedian continues his 2019 tour at the Paramount Theatre. VIP tickets include a meet-and-greet experience.

Nov. 16-17  The Hip Hop Nutcracker

A re-mixed and re-imagined version of the same timeless tale of “The Nutcracker” but with hip-hop dance and New York City style. Paramount Theatre.

Cosplayers will be seen in abundance at this event honoring the superheroes and ladies in pop culture and beyond.

Nov. 22  Happy Hour: Improv

Have an adults-only night at the Paci­fic Science Center, where guests ages 21 and up can interact with living exhibits—craft beer or wine in hand—during after-hours for less than the cost of general admission. An improv session will also take place for a side of laughs with your science center experience. Admission price is $20 for general public; $15 for members. Photo ID card required.

This free-to-attend event allows guests to sample and enjoy delicious food all day long.

Nov. 24  Magic in the Market

Celebrate the beginning of the holiday season at Pike Place Market with a tree lighting ceremony, festive music, cookie decorations and a photo with Santa. Free to attend.

Navigate through the Christmas light gardens and enjoy a playground, live music, vendor market and bar that serves seasonal food and drinks.

Nov. 29  Macy’s Holiday Parade

Head to downtown Seattle for giant floats, performers, bands and more. The Macy's Parade starts at Seventh Avenue and Pine Street.
