Lying inside Niemeyer’s spectacular stilted Pavilhão Manoel da Nobrega building, this museum devotes a huge space to a celebration of black Brazilian culture and history, with thousands of exhibits. Events include regular films, music, dance, and theatrical events, plus an archive of over 5,000 photographs, paintings and ritual objects. Open Tue-Sun 10am-5pm. Admission free.
