Union Square

Union Square provides a great center point from which to navigate the San Francisco flagships of designer boutiques and department stores from around the world. If there’s not enough shopping for you there, try nearby Westfield San Francisco Centre, home of Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s. Host to much of San Francisco’s theater district, Union Square also offers plenty of pre-theater dining options. The neighborhood is easily accessible from pretty much all downtown hotels; it also claims the Powell Street Cable-Car Turnaround, from which you can visit some of San Francisco’s other neighborhoods.
