San Francisco Whale Tours

A Whale of a Time

At San Francisco Whale Tours, Capt. Joe Nazar and his crew can’t wait for fall, as the season sees an abundance of wildlife. This month, you can, too. Every weekday at 8 am, join Capt. Joe on his catamaran, the Kitty Kat, and hit the high seas in search of grey and humpback whales. On the weekends, embark on a five-hour journey to the Farallon Islands, 27 miles off the coast of San Francisco, where not only whales, but elephant seals, sea lions and birds migrate through the national marine sanctuary. Longer natural history excursions and two-hour sunset eco-tours of the San Francisco Bay, where you’ll sail by seals, dolphins, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, are also available.

Depart from Pier 39, Dock B. 415.706.7364, www.sanfranciscowhaletours.com.
