Aquarium of the Bay

Dive into the Bay without getting your feet wet at the Aquarium of the Bay, San Francisco’s only waterfront aquarium, to get an up close look at over 20,000 aquatic animals. With ambient lighting and tranquil music, prepare to be mesmerized by the peaceful Jellies exhibit that features several species of jellies including Moon Jellies and Pacific Sea Nettles. Take in the aquarium’s Bay Theater, a 270-seat theater showing captivating 3D films and award-winning documentaries like “The World of Sharks,” “TurtleVision,” “Inside the New Bay Bridge Part 1 and 2” and the America’s Cup Film & Lecture series. From Feb. 15 to 23, don’t miss “Octopalooza,” a celebration of cephalopods with special films and interactive presentations on squid and octopuses.
