Fiesta San Antonio

Everyone loves a party. But FIESTA® San Antonio is more than just a party; it’s a party with a purpose.

In 1891, a group of San Antonio women decided to honor the heroes of the Alamo and Battle of San Jacinto with a parade. One hundred and 21 parades later, that little party has blossomed into an 11-day, internationally renowned fiesta with more than 100 events, ranging from parades to concerts to art exhibits and more. Best of all, the proceeds from this non-profit event provide services to the citizens of San Antonio throughout the year.

Around 3.5 million guests flock to this party each year to attend music events such as Tejano Explosion and Fiesta Pops, or food events like St. Mary’s Oyster Bake with two days of music and food, including 100,000 oysters. Kids delight in Fiesta Carnival, a perennial favorite, and Fiesta de los Reyes at Market Square, the largest free celebration. Enjoy the equestrian competition at A Day in Old Mexico’s Charreada, complete with Mexican food, drinks and ballet folklórico. Then celebrate the city’s unique heritage at A Night in Old San Antonio, held at the historic downtown village of La Villita.

Activities are non-stop, starting with Fiesta Fiesta, the official opening event, and ending with the celebration of the Reina de la Feria de las Flores reception.
