Where® London Launches in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese

London, June 2014—The London division of Morris Visitor Publications has just launched its first multi-language Where® magazine with a unique distribution deal that sees 10,000 copies printed and distributed in Brazil during the current World Cup soccer tournament.

Where London’s Latin American edition is published for the first time in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and is also endorsed by VisitBritain—the UK government’s tourism body—as its official magazine at the event, which kicked off on 12 June and which continues through the month of July. 

As well as the 20,000 copies Morris Visitor Publications distributes in London’s top hotels across the year, the 10,000 editions that are published in Sao Paulo carry a unique cover for sole distribution at a range of prestigious events and venues across the year’s most exciting sporting tournament.

The magazine—expertly edited by Kathryn Conway, who also produces the luxury title IN London and the UK’s biannual Arabic, Russian and Mandarin Where editions—will be seen by a host of celebrities and VIP guests at locations including the GB House, the government’s unique showcase venue for the tournament.

VisitBritain—which publishes the monthly London Planner in partnership with MVP—advised on the content of the magazine and is handling all of the logistics in the region. London launched its Brazilian edition of Where last year, but this year took the decision to widen its content to attract visitors from the whole South American region. London is seeing unparalleled growth in tourist numbers and Brazilians spend an estimated £183 million annually in London, according to the International Passenger Survey. Argentinians represented 104,000 visitors to the UK, spending £101 million in 2012, while 84,000 Mexicans came and spent £43 million in the same year.
