Like everything else, Halloween looks a little different this year. But there’s still plenty of fun to be had! From virtual ghost tours and haunted houses to spooky plays and pumpkin carving, we’ve got everything you need right here.
Tour your favorite city’s eerie side with a live ghost tour that literally takes you through its streets. From the Civil War and colonial ghosts in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Williamsburg, Virginia to historic haunted destinations such as New Orleans and Salem, Massachusetts, you will believe in spooks on these fun and informative tours. 25 cities are available.
Unexpected Virtual Tours
We love taking Unexpected Virtual Tours. The Atlanta-based operation has a team of knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour leaders who lead online tours on a variety of subjects. For October, the Ghost Stories + Trick or Treat Tour introduces you to Georgia’s creepiest tales and haunted locations in Huntsville, Alabama and Charleston, South Carolina. There’s also a virtual pumpkin decorating contest. Add on an optional Trick or Treat Box, loaded with extra treats this month.
Museum of Design Atlanta
Museum of Design Atlanta has a full complement of workshops to keep your young ones busy this October. From hands-on designs such as a spooky cross stitch, animation classes that use coding programs and online platforms to building spooky scenes with LEGOs, the kids will be engrossed and learn a new skill in the process.
Las Vegas Little Theatre
Support Southern Nevada’s oldest community theater by streaming Ghost Light Stories, Las Vegas Little Theatre’s collection of sometimes spooky, sometimes funny, monologues and vignettes submitted from around the world. The winners showcase the best talent LVLT has to offer, both on and behind the stage. Multiple performances through October 31.
