Barrett-Jackson's 47th Annual Scottsdale Auction
This year’s event is held Jan. 13-21 at WestWorld of Scottsdale and features such gems as a one-of-a-kind 1951 Talbot-Lago T-26 Grand Sport Saoutchik Coupe, and the incredibly rare, last-known HEMI ’Cuda, built in the 1970s. Also on the docket: many of the most desirable Ford collectibles representing Ford’s performance heritage on both the street and track, including a 1966 Shelby GT 350 Prototype #001. Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions
In 2018, Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions not only celebrates its 18th year, but debuts a new layout at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Held Jan. 17-21, more than 800 cars, including a 1948 Dandy Grand Luxe Delahaye and an ASA 1100 C.C. Spider cross the auction block in the Main Auction Pavilion, which is now on hard surface asphalt. With The Scottsdale Auctions, Gooding & Company creates a thriving automotive marketplace adjacent to Scottsdale Fashion Square mall, Jan. 19-20, with viewing available Jan. 17-20. Returning to Arizona for its 19th year, RM Sotheby’s is held Jan. 18-19 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. Last year’s sale highlight was a one-off, owner-commissioned 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540 K Special Roadster that sold for $6.6 million. Numerous best-of-category Ferraris also took top honors, led by a 1969 Ferrari 365 GTS, which sold for $3,602,500. This year’s auction includes more than 100 blue-chip automobiles, ranging from pre-war classics and contemporary supercars through important
sports and racing cars.
