Dog-Friendly Places in Phoenix and Scottsdale

If you've traveled to town with your pup, you don't need to worry about leaving him alone at the hotel as you explore the city. The Valley of the Sun is a pet-friendly destination, with many welcoming locations to visit.

Let him enjoy America's favorite pastime at MLB Arizona Diamondbacks games on Sundays, when canines are welcome to join their owners. While you're there, check out the PetSmart Patio with its dog-friendly concession stands.

When you're ready for a meal out, O.H.S.O. welcomes pets on the patios at all of its three Valley locations, as does Hula's Modern Tiki (two Valley locations). For breakfast or lunch, Scramble also welcomes pups on its patio.

To sightsee, head to Biltmore Fashion Park or Tempe Beach Park. Or, enjoy a bird's-eye view of the Valley from a hot air balloon while your dog catches a ride with the Equinox Balloon's friendly ground crew in the air-conditioned chase vehicle.

If Fido needs to run off some energy, head to one of the area's many dog parks around town—they are perfect for some off-leash fun and socializing.

The “Outrageous Homebrewer’s Social Outpost” brews several beers and distills spirits. They have regional, local and house beers on-tap, beer brunch deals Sa-Su, and large, dog-friendly patios. Food is available in seared, grilled, charred and fried forms.

Biltmore Fashion Park

Courtyard- and sidewalk-access shopping center anchored by Phoenix’s only Saks Fifth Avenue, filled out by luxury boutiques, and fueled by restaurants ranging from fast to fine French. At the east end: independent and local “mini-shops” known collectively as UNION.

Camelback Mountain

These are strenuous summit hikes, and they forever change hikers’ admiration of the “camel’s back” from anywhere in the Valley. The Cholla trail rises from a neighborhood of mansions near The Phoenician’s golf courses and becomes narrow, steep and rocky in some parts.

Enjoy a farm-fresh breakfast daily from 6 am-2 pm. Menu options range from basic biscuits and pancakes to eggs Benedict on jalapeño cornbread with chipotle hollandaise. Vegan options are available as well, as are lunch items.
