5 Juice Bars in the Phoenix Area

Five cheery spots for fresh-pressed fruit and vegetable juices

Five of the finest no-fluff, all-good juice bars throughout the Phoenix area:

Juby True » The name alone is a smooth one; it’s short for “Juice by True.” The bar is a spinoff of True Food Kitchen, the health-minded neighboring restaurant upon which integrative medicine expert Dr. Andrew Weil is a consultant. Produce is cold-pressed in combos with names like Roots Radical (beets, carrots, pears, ginger, lemon and turmeric) and Little Miss Sunshine (pineapple, pears, ginger and mint).

Nekter » California girl and “chief visionary officer” Alexis Schulze recently introduced her juice joint to the Valley of the Sun. Pressed-to-order juices and smoothies come in three sizes (16, 24 and 32 ounces); for a beautifully brilliant beverage, order anything containing pitaya, a magenta-colored Latin fruit.

Pomegranate Cafe » The drink menu runs as diverse as the food menu at this mother-daughter, raw-leaning bistro in Ahwatukee. Of particular springtime interest may be the Cold & Flu Buster (carrots, oranges, lemons, apples, ginger and bee pollen) and the Immunity Apple (apples, lemons, celery, ginger and cayenne pepper).

Original ChopShop Co.
» This born-in-Scottsdale cafe builds abundant sandwiches and salads (the Kale Caesar is a Where office favorite), as well as such juice blends as the post-NYE-apropos Liver Cleanse (beets, apples, lemons, ginger, parsley and aloe).

24 Carrots » Locally hatched in 2008, this purist bistro recently relocated but hasn’t strayed from its nature-made mantra. Juice blends involve no ice creams, sorbets or fake flavorings.
