Glamsino Returns in 2022 With Action Wellness

The popular fundraising event has a new theme this year.

One of Philadelphia’s favorite charitable events is back again this year. Glamsino Royale has a new theme for 2022— the “Speakeasy Soirée.” Taking place on September 29, the fundraising event is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. inside the Crystal Tea Room. The event includes a live DJ, hors d’oeuvres from Finley Catering, an appearance from the Bingo Verifying Divas of GayBINGO and a stunning roaring 20s theme.

Guests can purchase tickets here, and tickets are priced at $100 per person and $175 per couple when purchased in advance. A VIP option is available as well and includes a meet and greet with the Bingo Verifying Divas, a gift bag and a one-hour open bar prior to the event.

Director of Development & Communications for Action Wellness Michele Raymond spoke with us about the company and the event’s mission.

“Action Wellness enhances the lives of individuals living with HIV and other serious chronic illnesses by providing holistic and trauma-informed health, prevention, and supportive services,” Raymond told us. “The agency empowers those it serves to rise beyond the barriers of disease to achieve wellness and increased stability within the community.”

The event was a little different in recent years. “In 2022, we return to a live event, which is so exciting,” Raymond explained. “We have partnered with the Crystal Tea Room, which allows us to have more guests, a bigger dance floor, more games and fabulous drinks and food.”

Glamsino has been so popular since its inception that it’s stuck around for years. “Glamsino started eight years ago as a memorable fundraiser to support Action Wellness’ mission; it has continued to be a much anticipated fun-filled evening that sparkles with glamor, games, dancing, fashion, and so much more,” Raymond said. “The original event was a charity runway fashion show with the winner of Project Run Way All Stars Season One—Mondo Guerra—who is a fashionista and currently designing for private and commercial customers.”
