Girly Escape to Palm Beach

Explore Palm Beach County, an area known for its beaches, shopping and a laid-back environment.

I recently had the opportunity to experience a girly getaway with Where South Florida editorial assistant Laura Aguiar, to the Palm Beach county area. In our short time there, we had a chance to spa, shop, get up-close to sea turtles and experience the classy Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa Marriott property. Below are my top three tips when it comes to experiencing your own girlfriend getaway to Singer Island and Palm Beach County.

#1 Relax and Explore

Our host hotel the Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa boasts a unique and heavenly spa known as SI SPA, featuring a selection of body treatments, facials and even manicures and pedicures. The spa also offers a cleansing hydrafacial, whirlpool on premises and a relaxation room perfect to kick back in with a glass of bubbly. After your treatment, go for a relaxing stroll on the beach, a Singer Island staple due to the amazing sunsets and laid-back vibe that you experience in the area. Another great way to spend your time in Palm Beach at is by driving close-by to Juno Beach and exploring the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. There, you can leave a donation that will assist the center in the saving and rehabilitation of turtles, learn the history of sea turtles in the area and even get up-close and personal to a variety of sea turtles on premises that are getting healthy enough the be released back into the ocean.

#2 Shop the Day Away

Every girl needs a shopping fix, and Palm Beach offers a great option. Located in Palm Beach Gardens, The Gardens Mall is a unique shopping destination that is 1.4 million-square-feet full of more than 160 luxury retailers and known brands. Stop by and shop at Tiffany & Co., Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Chanel and even get some reasonably priced and good-looking threads at H&M. The spot, which is celebrating its 25th year anniversary, also offers a laid-back food court and unique dining options such as Brio Tuscan Grille and P.F. Chang’s.

#3 Dine Out

In Singer Island, 3800 Ocean offers views of the ocean and fresh seafood, plus contemporary dining, at the Singer Island Marriott.  The restaurant also offers fresh cocktails, martinis and a coconut mojito that is a definite “must try” for anyone seeking a fresh Floridian cocktail. Also located at the resort is the very tropical The Reef Tiki Bar, where you can indulge in oceanfront cocktails and American dining. For those seeking a great happy hour past the resort, Brio Tuscan Grille at The Gardens Mall offers a daily happy hour known as Bar Brioso at the bar from 3:30 to 6:30 Monday to Friday, featuring bar plates and beverages between $4 to $6, which is a great deal for foodies. Make sure to not leave without trying the sangria, a refreshing delight perfect for hot Florida weather and one that will help you in toasting to a great girlie getaway to Palm Beach County.
