This science-themed indoor attraction is all about the wow factor. One of the most photographed landmarks in Orlando, WonderWorks on International Drive will definitely catch your eye. Whether you're caught in one of Florida's afternoon showers or just have some free time and don't want to pay theme-park prices, WonderWorks will keep your family engaged and entertained.
Enter through the turnstiles, and the optical illusions continue as you (attempt to) walk through a rotating tunnel. Once inside, you'll discover three floors and 100 interactive exhibits and games. The Bubble Lab is a hit, especially for the younger kids, who can create bubbles larger than they are.
You can see what it feel like to be blown away by 71 mph winds, shaken by a 5.3 earthquake and even lay on a bed of nails. Since this is Orlando, after all, guests can also design their very own roller coaster and experience a 4D Extreme Motion Ride complete with full-motion seats and special effects.
The third floor is designed for older kids with lazer tag and a ropes course, which are included in admission. Guests 42 inches and up (closed-toe shoes required) can tackle 20 obstacles on the suspended ropes course, crossing bridges, swinging beams and lily pads as their family looks on below. Lazer tag is fun for the whole family, but once inside, it's every man for himself as you compete against each other for the highest score.
You can also purchase tokens for fun in the arcade with simulators and classic games like skee-ball and air hockey, where you can win tickets to cash out for prizes.
If time allows, stay for the Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show for unlimited pizza, salad, beer, wine and dessert. Magician Tony Brent will have you laughing in disbelief at his antics, that are both amazing and hysterical. You may even be asked to participate. Tickets to WonderWorks are $29.99 for adults and $23.99 for children, with combo tickets to the dinner theater for $52.99/adults and $27.99/children.
