Orlando Nightlife Strictly for Adults

From twilight flybys to acts with rock music and water, Orlando comes alive at night

The city may be known for theme parks and kid-friendly fun but when the sun sets, Orlando comes alive with shows, activities and events for adults to enjoy.

Let's Go Downtown

Experiencing something of a renaissance, Downtown Orlando is oozing with exciting new bars (Native, Eternal Tap), swanky lounges (One80, Loft 55) and inviting spaces to grab a bite or a drink (Ceviche, Corona Cigar Co.). Downtown is also home to the Amway Center, the city's go-to spot for concerts and events, and CityArts Factory, downtown's largest collection of art galleries all under one roof. The massive gallery hosts events such as "3rd Thursday Art Stroll." There's never a dull moment downtown.

Take a CityWalk on the Wild Side

Universal Citywalk, a 30-acre entertainment complex is bursting with restaurants and clubs for the fun-loving adult in you. Those looking to cut loose can dance the night away at the groove or mingle over cocktails at Red Coconut Club any night of the week.

DRIP: Good to the Last Drop

Hot nights are perfect for getting wet. Cool down in a not-so-family-friendly way with I-Drive’s new adults-only show. Experience the sloppier side of Orlando nightlife. DRIP is I-Drive’s hottest new interactive show, combining elements of dance, theater and a live rock concert in an industrial dive bar. This off-the-wall performance created by Orlando Fringe Festival veteran Jessica Mariko features a young cast who dance and splash through water, sand and paint to rock music composed by David Traver of Blue Man Group.

The evening begins in the bar area as you mingle with cast and crew, although there is no way of knowing who’s in the cast and who is a guest. It's not until the band starts playing and some girls start dancing on the bar that you realize the show has begun. Soon, pitchers of beer are tossed through the air onto the unsuspecting audience who is then ushered, dripping, into the main performance hall. DRIP tells the story of two young lovers who experience attraction, lust and heartbreak with all of the action happening in the center of the warehouse-like theater and the audience leaning away from the mess, against the walls. Being in the audience for DRIP means being part of the performance. The entire building is a designated splash zone and by the end of the paint-filled water-balloon fight that finishes the show, you’ll be soaked and entertained. That’s why attendees are encouraged to dress down—preferably in a white T-shirt—and drink up unlimited multicolored beer with the purchase of a $5 cup. DRIP’s ample alcohol selection, scantily clad dancers and provocative scenes make it the perfect destination for adults to have fun while getting dirty. 8747 International Dr. Suite 102, 347.855.3747. General admission tickets/$35 ($43 with a white souvenir DRIP T-shirt). Shows begin at 8 and 11 pm Thu-Sat.
