Ostriches, elephants and zebras, oh my! The Nashville Zoo is home to more than 300 animals ranging from the Mexican Redknee Tarantula to the Clouded Leopard and Masai Giraffe. With 200 acres of land, there is tons of exploring to do. Get up-close and experience the lovable animals at Critter Encounters or make your way through the Bamboo Trail to find red pandas, lemurs and more. The Nashville Zoo is not only home to creatures found all over the world, but many that can be found in your backyard. The “Meet the Locals” animal show gives the audience a look at Tennessee’s diverse wildlife. Also, check out the Grassmere Historic Farm to see the barnyard animals and learn about farm life in the 1880s. Tickets: adults $16, seniors (65+) $14, ages 2-12 $11, under 2 free.
