Heather Charlick is a testament to the seemingly random path that can sometimes lead to success. Before founding Island Cowgirl Jewelry, Charlick studied jewelry design in New York City, lived on a catamaran in St. Martin, studied silver in Mexico, learned French in Paris, and opened a nightclub in Miami Beach. To most, this series of events looks like a utopian grabbag, but Charlick managed to fuse bits and pieces from each to create the signature rugged-yetfeminine rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces that make up the Island Cowgirl line. Charlick first opened the shop in California, relocating to Nashville's greener pastures with her husband, horses and dog in 2013. Stop by the shop for Island Cowgirl's silver pieces featuring hammered-in phrases like "Be the change" or "Gypsy soul," as well as a curated collection of home décor, gifts and accessories.
