Grand Canyon Railway

People pay to get held up on their way to the Grand Canyon. A daily sightseeing train hosted by storytelling banjo-pickers and chatty bartenders is regularly boarded by horseback bandits somewhere between the city of Williams (about 30 miles west of Flagstaff) and Arizona’s deepest natural wonder. So much entertainment makes Grand Canyon Railway’s 65-mile, 135-minute journey fly past—until passengers disembark and look down, and time screeches to a halt.
