Four Fantastic Exhibitions in Milan

The Palazzo Real in Milan plays host to four inspiring new art exhibitions this season.

This season, Palazzo Reale is set to host four inspiring exhibitions: Pollock e gli Irascibili traces the upending of the traditional canons of art in New York from 1931 to 1966, with an entire room dedicated to Pollock’s Number 27, possibly his most famous work, rarely seen outside the Whitney Museum (until 16 February 2014); the genius of Warhol which still today contributes to the iconic identification of American artwork throughout the world, will be staged until 2 March 2014; over 60 works by Rodin, one of the world’s greatest sculptors, appears for the first time outside of the Musée Rodin in France (until 26 January 2014); last but not least, il volto del 900. da Matisse a bacon (until 9 February 2014), investigating 20th century innovations through the study of the human face and forms, with a display of 80 works by masters of the caliberof Picasso, Giacometti, Modigliani, Brancusi, Ernst, Mirò, De Chirico and Matisse.
