Scienceworks

Scienceworks has developed a distinct identity as a museum with a difference. Encouraging visitors to pull it, push it, spin it, bang it, its highly interactive approach to learning means visitors leave the museum having had a fun, safe and enriching experience. While the main exhibition galleries are housed in a modern, purpose-built facility, the Scienceworks site also features a unique piece of Melbourne's history - the historic Spotswood Pumping Station. The site also incorporates the Melbourne Planetarium, the first digital planetarium in the southern hemisphere and the electrifying Lightning Room. Other permanent exhibitions include House Secrets, Sportsworks and Nitty Gritty Super City.
