The opportunity to discover the astonishing beauty of more than 100,000 Australian plants and landscapes, set in 363 hectares of natural bushland, attracts many visitors to the Australian Garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. This multi-award winning garden allows visitors to stroll through on a self-guided walk or join a variety of tours and programs led by knowledgeable guides. The spectacular Red Sand Garden with plants from Central Australia, the Eucalypt Walk and the Rockpool Waterway, with its impressive 90-metre Escarpment Wall Sculpture, are all highlights within the Garden. The Boonerwurrung Café with its Australian-flavoured food and the Gardens Shop with its great range of Australian inspired products complement any visit. The Garden is located off the South Gippsland Highway, 45 minutes? drive from Melbourne and not too far from Phillip Island or the Mornington Peninsula.
