Not content with his career as a chart-topping musician, Pharrell Williams has been expanding his empire with his first UK store, Billionaire Boys Club.
Williams has collaborated with rapper Jay Z and Nigo—the founder of successful Japanese clothing brand A Bathing Ape—to create a stylish street-inspired line featuring a range of sweatshirts, printed T-shirts, hats and silk varsity jackets.
The super-slick flagship shop stocks both Billionaire Boys Club lines alongside pieces from sister brand Ice Cream, in addition to exclusive products from Williams’ Adidas and Comme des Garçons collections and a capsule range of Billionaire ‘LDN’ T-shirts and caps.
The playful creativity that runs through the Billionaire clothing line is also reflected in the store, where Williams’ fascination with outer space has inspired a room boasting a floor resembling the surface of the moon and walls with a ‘starfield’ pattern that is now synonymous with the brand. Upstairs, there’s a 1950s-inspired ice-cream parlour – home to the Ice Cream line.
Considering Carnaby Street and its surrounding streets have long been the home of revolutionary fashion, Williams’ store promises to be an exciting addition to the area.
