This 104-acre wildlife reserve has a Water’s Edge Café overlooking lakes, ponds and gardens that are home to over 100 species of rare and wild birds. Visitors can watch the otters and birds being fed every day, while there are also daily 'Spotlight' talks on various subjects. Daily 9.30am-5.30pm. Adult £13; child £7.90. 

29-31 May: Birds of Prey. A chance to see the likes of owls, peregrine falcons and kestrels in flight, then have the expert falconer answer all of your questions.

Aug: Children's Night Safaris. Explore after dark, build a den, then hear stories around a campfire as you toast marshmallows. Fri 7pm-10pm; £25.50.
