In case you have not heard, Las Vegas is back. As of June 1, the “Entertainment Capital of the World” has officially reopened, and we couldn’t be happier. Everything from bars to dayclubs to nightclubs will be open to keep you entertained this holiday weekend.
Celebrate Independence Day in Vegas
Big-name performers such as Bruno Mars and Miley Cyrus will be headlining at Park MGM and Resorts World Las Vegas, respectively, on the holiday weekend. In addition, restaurants and attractions have unique holiday offerings, and of course, we have fireworks. Lots of fireworks.
Las Vegas has an epic Independence Day fireworks display on the Las Vegas Strip on July 4 at 11 p.m. A themed and coordinated fireworks display will launch from the rooftops of the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, Treasure Island Las Vegas, The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Skypod, Resorts World Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Resorts & Casino, Caesars Palace Las Vegas and ARIA Resort & Casino. Off-the-Strip casinos launching fireworks include Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa and Casino, Red Rock Casino Resorts & Spa, and Plaza Hotel & Casino. Wondering what to do before the fireworks begin? Don’t worry, the party starts early and all weekend long in Vegas.
Red, White & Barbeque
BBQ is such a summer food staple, so why not enjoy some of the best BBQ on the biggest summer holiday of the year? Legendary pitmaster of SLAB BBQ, Burt Bakman, joins Wynn Las Vegas’s executive chef of catering and special events, Kelly Bianchi, to create the resort’s first-ever July 4 culinary event. Red, White & Barbecue will feature several SLAB favorites, including Frito pies and specialties like brisket by the slice, smoked chicken wings and baby back ribs accompanied by a section of SLAB signature sauces.
The special event takes place at Wynn Las Vegas on Sunday, July 4, from 7:30 p.m.– 10 p.m. Tickets are available for $69 for children under 12 and $99 per adult. Tickets include two backyard cocktail coupons (with adult ticket purchase), unlimited barbecue specialties, carnival-style games, live ‘patriotic’ entertainers and a DJ. Tickets may be purchased by phone at 702.770.7070 or online here.

To celebrate the birth of our nation, Wet N’ Wild will host its annual Fourth of July event. This event is definitely one to bring the entire family. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m. Fireworks display begins at 8 p.m.
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod
We mentioned fireworks displays from the Strip casinos, but let’s talk about the highest show. The STRAT will host the highest fireworks launch site on the Strip from its 1,149-foot-tall tower. The STRAT’s tower itself will be illuminated in red, white and blue as a patriotic salute starting at dusk. The SkyPod at The STRAT features 108 Eats and 108 Drinks, plus 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Valley. Special tower entry for firework viewing is priced at $40, beginning at 7 p.m. More information is available online.
