Five Las Vegas Tours and Activities for the Whole Family

These five outdoor tours and activities are perfect for families!

When tourists think of exploring Las Vegas, the phrase “family-friendly” isn’t always the first to come to mind. But with the city’s constantly evolving persona, Las Vegas has developed many outdoor activities that everyone in the family can enjoy! Check out this list below of great family-friendly options.

Rail Explorers

Rail Explorers was discovered by Mary Joy Lu while watching a Korean soap opera back in 2012. In 2015, a fleet of explorers was brought over from Korea to the USA, and Rail Explorers was created! These guided tours allow guests to pedal along flat terrain while enjoying views of exciting adventures throughout Las Vegas (like a virtual workout brought to life).

Rail Explorers currently offer seven different tours to choose from the Sunrise Ramble (a beautiful desert sunrise tour), the Southwest Summer Soaker (an exhilarating 4-mile ride with an optional surprise water soaker attack to help guests cool down) and the Southwest Ramble (an adventurous railroad ride) are perfect daytime options.

The Twilight Summer Ramble (a sunset downhill pedal ride under a blanket of stars), the Neon Light Night Tour (a night ride amongst the lights) and the Sunset Railbike Ride (a romantic couple’s ride in the least sweltering hours) or an exclusive ride after dark that includes a bonfire are excellent evening options. Make a day of it and purchase special tickets that include a ride back to the top of the hill in one of the Museum’s historic trains and free entry to the Nevada Railroad Museum.

Pink Jeep Tours

If you’re visiting Las Vegas with your family and are looking for a safe and fun way to see the sights of the Valley, then Pink Jeep Tours is a ride that the whole family will enjoy! The tours are guided by experts who know all of the ins and outs of Las Vegas, leaving you with excellent knowledge of the city and its many surrounding natural areas.

Guests can choose from a variety of tour options, like visiting the Las Vegas Strip and its numerous hot spots to visiting the Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam. The company also has a “Drive, Fly, Float” tour which includes the Pink Jeep Tour and a helicopter flight over one of the canyon rims and the Colorado River so that you get the best of both worlds.

Vegas Super Karts

Created by Exotics Racing, Vegas Super Karts is an adventurous outdoor activity that features the world’s largest supercar experience. With adult and junior go-karts to race on an outdoor racetrack that spans 2,100 feet long, this is a place where the whole family can jump into the thrill ride of a lifetime. Vegas Super Karts offer rides on Sodikart SR5s, which are the fastest & safest models on the market.

Each kart races on a certified racetrack with secure track protection to ensure your family’s safety throughout your visit. Vegas Super Karts is located on the same grounds as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, just 15 minutes north of the famous Las Vegas Strip. Riders must be ten years old and at least 50 inches in height.

Springs Preserve

Springs Preserve is a 180-acre beautiful and historic part of Las Vegas located less than 30 minutes west of the Strip. Originally a piece of land that was a water source for Native Americans, it is now a preserved indoor and outdoor space that protects the water resources and cultural history it owns. Springs Preserve brings the best of the desert along with subtly educational areas for all ages to explore (the flash flood exhibit also educates guests on safety in an interactive way).

Aside from being a historical site, Springs Preserve is an attraction the whole family will love. Families can learn about the origins of Las Vegas in the Origen Museum and the Nevada State Museum. Guests can also attend galleries, outdoor events and explore the gorgeous botanical garden, which features a butterfly habitat, a garden classroom, Mojave collection and a solar house.
