Delicious Plant-Based Cuisine in Las Vegas
Long gone are the days of plain vegetables as the only plant-based options. In Las Vegas, there are numerous meatless choices in a variety of cuisines and flavors. Here are some of the best vegan and vegetarian options in town.
China Poblano
China Poblano at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas offers a Vegetable Tasting Menu alongside its traditional tasting menu, especially for plant-based eaters. We visited for a hosted media dinner and sampled several of the vegetable tasting menu items in addition to the main menu. Our favorite? The "Young Coconut Ceviche," which had the perfect blend of savory, sweet and tangy flavors and a completely unique texture (the tasting comes in small spoons and we enjoyed it so much, we would happily have eaten two full bowls).

The Edible Bunch
Get a taste of gourmet plant-based personal cuisine with the Sunday brunch presented by The Edible Bunch at StarBase. “Plant-Based Sundays” is a limited collaboration taking place monthly from January to April with events on January 16, February 20, March 20 and April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The unique event space will have numerous food stations with a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options like made-to-order chickpea steaks, cauliflower nuggets, butternut squash mac-n-cheese and other delectable plant-based goodies. “We are thrilled to be partnering with The Edible Bunch to kick off the new year and Veganuary with our plant-based brunch series,” Tricia Costello, co-founder of StarBase, said in a recent statement to the press. “Sustainability is important to us in every aspect of our business, and this series is an approachable and fun way for the entire community to get involved.”

Daikon
Chef Mindy Lim’s plant-based, sustainable cuisine brings vegan sushi to Las Vegas with Daikon. Try out meatless versions of sushi classics like the Spider Roll, “shrimp” tempura, and Rainbow Roll, along with various plant-based nigiri. Daikon also features several hot entrees with meatless substitutes.

Truth & Tonic
Located inside Canyon Ranch Spa at Venetian Las Vegas, Truth & Tonic is currently the only entirely plant-based restaurant on the Strip. With a bright, airy interior and a refreshing menu offering healthy food and beverage options, it’s a great spot for vegans, vegetarians, and anyone hoping to enjoy something more nutritious (especially after a particularly indulgent night out).

Tacotarian
Tacotarian brings fully plant-based taco options to Las Vegas with two locations- one in Spring Valley and Downtown Las Vegas. Meatless versions of classics can be found here, like the carne asada, barbacoa, and al pastor all made with plant-based substitutes. You may have seen Tacotarian on social media recently- Vice President Kamala Harris recently stopped by their Downtown location.

Chikyu
This vegan Japanese Izakaya offers traditional Izakaya cuisine in an entirely plant-based, sustainable form. Try out their spicy garlic miso ramen or their variety of meatless robata and tempura. Chikyu also serves various vegan sushi rolls and nigiri.

With two Las Vegas locations (Downtown Summerlin and the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace), True Food Kitchen offers fantastic cuisine for both vegans and carnivores, including brunch and cocktails.

Melita’s Table
Melita’s Table brings plant-based Latin cuisine to the Las Vegas valley. Here, you’ll find comfort food favorites like street tacos, flautas, burritos, and nachos. All entrees are fully meatless and made with a variety of plant-based substitutes. If everything looks delicious, try out one of their sampler platters, and don’t forget dessert.
