These two very different gardens are located on the south shore in a lush valley. A variety of tours are offered; all begin with a tram ride from the visitors center outside of the valley. McBryde Gardens is the nonprofit NTBG’s flagship garden and has the world’s largest collection of Hawaiian plants. The adjacent Allerton Garden is a former private estate, with water features, statuary, and the famous “Jurassic Trees.”
