Webster House

At Webster House, the landmark 1885 building literally a stone’s throw from the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, you’ll have to pry yourself away from the rooms of fine antiques and decorative accessories on the first floor to dine on the elegant second floor. Chef Matt Arnold offers a well-rounded menu of fine-dining dishes featuring seafood, chicken, pork and beef, including such accomplished entrées as red-chili-braised beef short ribs with jalapeña polenta and tomatillo sauce. One of his noteworthy first-course creations is this light dish of melon skewers with ricotta salata, roasted pistachios, mint and honey crème fraiche. Open for lunch Monday-Saturday, for dinner Wednesday-Saturday.
