Craft beers and eastern feasts are at the heart of KEKOU, one of the newest contenders on Richmond’s bustling culinary strip, Bridge Road. Sometimes, it’s all in a name. Meaning “tasty” or “to taste good” in Chinese, KEKOU focuses on the bold flavours of Eastern cooking and pairs them with fresh Australian produce—an approach that shines in menu items such as stir-fried Moreton Bay Bugs with bonito-cured yolk, sugar snap peas and housemade chilli jam; and lobster betel leaf with toasted coconut, finger lime and chilli caramel. This exploratory spirit continues through its focus on craft beers, with the diversity of the local brewing industry showcased through 18 constantly rotating taps spread across two floors.
