Daytona Beach Announces Its 2017 Free Summer Concert Series

Spend Saturday nights in the sand for a free concert at the Bandshell.

An outdoor concert on the beach at sunset just says summer, and there's no better place to celebrate America's favorite season than on "The World's Most Famous Beach" in Daytona. From May to September, locals and visitors all flock to the historic Bandshell on Daytona Beach with their picnics and folding chairs for this time-honored tradition.

Built in 1937 from the strong, natural coquina found in the area, the Bandshell is an iconic amphitheater overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Oceanfront Park on the north end of the Boardwalk. The free concert line-up features a series of tribute bands playing classic favorites, from Bon Jovi and Billy Joel to Fleetwood Mac and Elton John. The concerts kick off May 27 at 7:15 pm with a Bob Seger tribute band and conclude Sept. 30 with a Led Zeppelin tribute. Concert goers are invited to come early, enjoy the Ocean Walk Village and Shoppes and stroll the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Pier beforehand and then stay for the fireworks show over the Atlantic Ocean at the conclusion of each concert.
