Social distancing is not a problem at The Range Vintage Trailer Resort—it's a pleasure.
The resort, located in Bristol, Texas, just 30 miles south of Dallas-Fort Worth, takes advantage of the Metroplex's wide open spaces with 21 sites that are 100-plus feet apart across 30 acres.
The Range is currently taking bookings and will open on June 1. It features six renovated vintage Airstream and other trailers that date back to 1953; in addition, there are 15 sites open for guests to bring their own trailers.
It borders the Ennis Bluebonnet Trail, which allows campers the perfect isolated excursion. There are private entrances to hiking trails from each site.
The vintage trailers themselves are completely self-contained with their own bathrooms and kitchenettes. For those who bring their own trailers, The Bathhouse offers men's and women's toilets and showers. An on-site laundry contains two washers and two dryers, and a guest's first load of laundry is free.
Additional amenities include complimentary high-speed WiFi, three ponds stocked with fish, babbling creeks with outdoor seating, tree swings, outdoor games, a natural playground, a dog park, covered patios and a communal fire pit.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, The Range’s vintage trailer rentals are currently available for three-night stays from Thursday through Sunday only, which allows four days for thorough cleaning between guests. Open sites are available every day with minimum two-night stays on weekends. Rental trailer rates start at $198; open sites, $98.
