River North

Just north of downtown along the Platte River Bike Path is the River North Art District, which goes by the catchy nickname RiNo. The area is rapidly becoming the hotspot for Denver artsy types, with an industrial area that hosts a high concentration of creative businesses such as architects, art galleries, designers, furniture makers, painters, photographers, sculptors and a wealth of studio spaces. Sprinkled among these artistic hubs are plenty of cafes, restaurants and boutiques, but the area gets busiest on the first Friday of each month, when dozens of galleries stay open late to welcome visitors with wine, live music and conversation.
