Maroon Bells

Two mountains—South and North Maroon Peak—make up the Bells, both topping out over 14,000 feet, and Maroon Lake and Creek provide a watery counterpoint to the massive rock formations. Outdoor warm-weather activities at the base of the peaks are seemingly endless. Hikers, bikers and climbers dot the landscape all season long. Winter visits are restricted due to often-unsafe road conditions.
