A Little Night Music

Now in its 78th year, the Grant Park Music Festival is the only free, summer-long outdoor classical music series in the country. Each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evening, the Grammy-nominated Grant Park Orchestra and award-winning Grant Park Chorus entertain audiences at the stunning Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. In addition to the annual Independence Day celebration, July highlights include “Perfectly Frank: From Broadway to Hollywood,” in which vocalists from the Great White Way like Rebecca Luker and Marin Mazzie pay tribute to Frank Loesser, the composer of hit musicals like “Guys and Dolls” and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”

Through Aug. 18. Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street, 312-742-7638, www.grantparkmusicfestival.com.
