Friday:

SafeHouse Holiday Party: Spies and agents are being called to duty at SafeHouse tonight for the venue’s holiday party. Cover fees are waived and there will be drink specials all night. Everyone that comes through the door will also be entered into a raffle upon arrival with the chance to win hundreds of dollars in prizes. Andersonville Holiday Trolley: If you still need gift ideas head to this North Side neighborhood, which has unique boutiques like the Andersonville Galleria, Milk Handmade and Women and Children First bookstore. Tonight only you can also hop on board the free holiday trolley that runs on a continuous loop through the Clark Street shopping district with six convenient stops. Free to ride. 5-9 pm.

Q Brothers Christmas Carol @ Chicago Shakespeare Theater: It’s Charles Dickens’ classic done hip-hop style. The emcees known as the Q Brothers remix the story with the “ghosts of Hip-hop Past, Present and Future that lead Scrooge on a journey of rhythm, rhyme and redemption.” Tickets start at $38. 8:30 pm, 800 E. Saturday:

Christmas Around the World @ the Museum of Science & Industry: Every year the historic museum puts together a popular display with more than 50 Christmas trees decorated with the traditional style and colors of different countries to celebrate cultures around the world. It’s a display like none other in the city. Through January 7. Admission: $16 for adults and $9 for kids when you pre-purchase online. 9:30 am-5:30 pm, 5700 S. Lake Shore Dr.

Santa! Live @ Summer House Santa Monica: It’s your final chance to chat with the big guy before he heads back to the North Pole. While enjoying a summery brunch, get photos and special treats handed out by the man of the hour. 11 am-3 pm, 1954 N. Halsted.

Taylor Bennett’s Second Annual Holiday Bash @ Metro: As the younger brother of Chance The Rapper, Taylor Bennett has a lot of star wattage to deliver. The on-the-rise hip-hop star brings his “Broad Shoulders” project to Metro tonight, alongside Bianca Shaw and Melo Makes Music. Tickets: $21. 7 pm, 3730 N. Clark St.

 

Sunday:

Christkindlmarket @ Daley Plaza: It’s the final day for this special German Christmas market that comes just once a year, full of regional food, gluhwein, a beer tent and shopping experiences in the sweet house or with a number of vendors selling ornaments and collectibles. 11 am-4 pm, 50 W. Chicago Bears & Cleveland Browns @ Soldier Field: Sports fans get a real gift when the Bears head home to take on the Browns in a special Christmas Eve game day. Tickets: $77+ 12 pm, 1410 Museum Campus Dr.
