Natural Wine Dinner Series @ avec: This week, West Loop hot spot avec will be hosting three special dinners devoted to tasting a collection of biodynamic, sustainable and organic wines from three different countries. Tonight kicks things off with selections from Greece, followed by Spain on Jan. 4 and France on Jan. 5. Each event will include a five-course meal with curated wine pairings and will take place in avec’s new second floor private dining space. Tickets: $125 each night or $350 for all three nights. “Parks & Recreation” Trivia Night @ Joe’s on Weed St.: Turn those knopes into yes answers at tonight’s trivia matchup, all in honor of the hit show “Parks & Recreation.” Prizes will be available for first through fifth place winners. Tables available on a first come, first serve basis. Trivia starts at 8:00 pm sharp, but arrive before 7:30 pm to get your spot, 940 W. Weed St.

Paul Pfeiffer @ Museum of Contemporary Art: Just opened December 23, the newest exhibit at the MCA is dedicated to the work of Paul Pfeiffer who is regarded for his craft of manipulating sports and music media footage “to expose the absurdity, complexity and violence of popular spectacles.” In particular the exhibit stages Three Figures In A Room, Pfeiffer’s take on the 2015 boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao known as the "Fight of the Century." Suggested admission: $15 for adults; $8 for students, teachers, seniors; free for anyone 18 and under. Open 10 am-5 pm, 220 E. Chicago Ave.
