What You Need to Do in Chicago Today: Thursday, January 4

This is where we’ll be today.

National Spaghetti Day @ Nellcote: Mamma mia, it’s a good day! National Spaghetti Day is here, and Nellcote is celebrating with family-style spaghetti and meatballs for just $30. Each serving feeds 4-6 people so bring family and friends, or just come really hungry. Open 5-10 pm, 833 W. Randolph St.

Bowie Ball @ Berlin: In the words of Bowie, “Let’s Dance” at Berlin tonight as the nightclub hosts a bash for Ziggy a few days before what would have been his 71st  birthday. In addition to DJ sets from Heaven Malone and Jess Night, there will be a “live Bowie performance” by Max Goldstein (of local band Yoko & the Oh No’s) and Bowie-inspired looks and glitter and glam makeup. Reduced door cover until 11 pm. Starts at 10 pm to 4 am, 954 W. Belmont Ave.

Live at the Lounge @ Hubbard Inn: Take a trip back in time at Hubbard Inn’s new music series, held every Thursday night. Hosted in the Sun Parlor, the night features the vocals and soulful sounds of Kelsey Quinn Mark, a contemporary lounge singer that has played festivals including Lollapalooza, Sasquatch, SXSW and Bonnaroo. While listening, enjoy cocktails and a new late-night menu, too, with bacon-wrapped dates, applewood smoked bacon sliders and a seafood platter. 9-11 pm every Thursday, 110 W. Hubbard St.
