Room 237—The Shining Pop-Up @ The Rookery: All work and no play makes for a dull evening, but you can change that with a stop at The Rookery tonight for “The Shining”-themed pop-up bar on the second floor with stiff drinks, dark music and other surprise thrills. No cover. 9 pm-3 am, 2109 W. Chicago Ave.

Blind Date @ Goodman Theatre: “Blind Date” is a look at the infamous meeting of two of history’s most enigmatic leaders—Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev— as they try to halt the arms race.
