Museo de Bellas Artes

This is the national gallery, with more than 12,000 pieces making Latin America’s largest public collection. It gives it a taste of Argentine art plus a fine collection of European 19th-century works, particularly Manet, van Gogh and Gauguin. In its 24 exhibition halls, look out for superb Argentine 19th- and 20th-century paintings, sculpture and wooden carvings. Tue-Fri 11.30am-7.30pm; Sat-Sun 9.30am-8.30pm. Admission free.
